Skateboarding!

Salam and hello everybody! Today i want to share about skateboarding. Why? Because i found out that this is an interesting activity! Oh, extreme sport actually. I'm sure some of us had already experienced skating. Roller-blades or ice-skating also uses this concept. It's like surfing on the ground. Skateboarding is the act of riding and performing tricks using a skateboard. The person who skate is most often referred to as a skateboarder. In the life of skateboarding, he or she is called a skater.

Skateboard

What is a skateboard actually? Well, skateboard is a short board with two small wheels at each end, which you can stand and ride on it. The board where's the skater stands on it is called deck. Deck is usually made of maple wood, a hard wood that can stands a lot of pressure. On the deck, there's a griptape sticker stick to it. Griptape is similar to sand paper. So that the skater gets a lot of grip on the deck. The steel below the deck is called truck. And finally there's four wheels at the side of each truck. And of course got a set of bearing in the wheels. Very simple, isn't it?

 
Skateboards can be played at street, skate parks, or vert ramp. Vert ramp is a U-shaped ramp to perform special movements such as jumping high into the air. Back in the old days, the king of vert ramp is Tony Hawk. Sounds familiar with that name, right? That guy even had his own skateboarding game called 'Tony Hawk Pro Skater'.

Skateboarding is a fun activity. When we skate, we can forget all the things that bothering us. All the problems disappeared at the moment we skate. It's like you're living in a different world. The excitement is astonishing. Just feel the adrenalin rush when you jump and performing a trick. Once you managed to land, just feel the satisfaction. Phew! Its amazing...

Rodney Mullen

There are so many professional skater out there but my all time favourite hero is  a guy called Rodney Mullen. He is a legend. I love his skateboarding style! He had invented his own weird and crazy skills. He always came out with extraordinary tricks. Can anyone do a hand stand on a skateboard? Oh yes, he can. He can even dance on his skateboard. In the world of skateboarding, Rodney Mullen is called the godfather due to his creative tricks and incredible skills. Here's a video of Rodney Mullen. Enjoy!
