Skateboarding!

Salam and hello everybody! Today i want to share about skateboarding. Why? Because i found out that this is an interesting activity! Oh, extreme sport actually. I'm sure some of us had already experienced skating. Roller-blades or ice-skating also uses this concept. It's like surfing on the ground. Skateboarding is the act of riding and performing tricks using a skateboard. The person who skate is most often referred to as a skateboarder. In the life of skateboarding, he or she is called a skater.

Skateboard

What is a skateboard actually? Well, skateboard is a short board with two small wheels at each end, which you can stand and ride on it. The board where's the skater stands on it is called deck. Deck is usually made of maple wood, a hard wood that can stands a lot of pressure. On the deck, there's a griptape sticker stick to it. Griptape is similar to sand paper. So that the skater gets a lot of grip on the deck. The steel below the deck is called truck. And finally there's four wheels at the side of each truck. And of course got a set of bearing in the wheels. Very simple, isn't it?

Skateboards can be played at street, skate parks, or vert ramp. Vert ramp is a U-shaped ramp to perform special movements such as jumping high into the air. Back in the old days, the king of vert ramp is Tony Hawk. Sounds familiar with that name, right? That guy even had his own skateboarding game called 'Tony Hawk Pro Skater'.

Vert Ramp

Skateboarding is a fun activity. When we skate, we can forget all the things that bothering us. All the problems disappeared at the moment we skate. It's like you're living in a different world. The excitement is astonishing. Just feel the adrenalin rush when you jump and performing a trick. Once you managed to land, just feel the satisfaction. Phew! Its amazing...

Rodney Mullen

There are so many professional skater out there but my all time favourite hero is  a guy called Rodney Mullen. He is a legend. I love his skateboarding style! He had invented his own weird and crazy skills. He always came out with extraordinary tricks. Can anyone do a hand stand on a skateboard? Oh yes, he can. He can even dance on his skateboard. In the world of skateboarding, Rodney Mullen is called the godfather due to his creative tricks and incredible skills. Here's a video of Rodney Mullen. Enjoy!

Students must vote during the 'Students' Election' because....

Students must vote during the 'Students' Election' because everyone that lives in a community have rights to choose who will represents them as their voices. Before the election day, the candidates will gives their manifesto. It makes us easier to decide who we're going to vote for.

It is important to vote during the 'Students' Election' is because not all the candidate's manifesto satisfy us. So, we must choose the one who we like. And choose the one who can make a difference. For an example, Syed is one of the candidate. In his manifesto, Syed said that he can improve the wifi speed at Desasiswa Al-Razi. If Alex wants to protest about the super slow speed of hostel's wifi, by the election time Alex will vote for Syed because he knew that Syed is the person who can solve the problems.

In Islam, every muslim must vote during election day. Yes, compulsory. It is a sin if a muslims doesn't vote or doesn't choose the person to be their leader. We must vote during election day.

Finally my advise is, don't vote a candidates because they are handsome or gorgeous. Instead, vote for the competent one.

Kites

It's a bird? It's a plain? No, it's a kite!

During my free time, i used to go out and hang up with my friends. We usually had so many activites together such as playing futsal, swimming, 'lepak' at the mamak stall, or even sightseeing. But one day, all of us just sit at the recreation park nearby the cape wondering what to do... And suddenly i saw a little boy running to fly his kite. I was wondering, when was the last time that i fly a kite? Maybe when i was 11 years old, such a long time ago! Then, me and my friends bought a kite and fly it. What a great feeling it was...

To be continued...

Great Leaders are not born, they are made

Leader is a person who directs or controls a group, organization, or country.  There's a huge responsibility rests squarely  on the shoulders of a leader. To be a leader, a person must have the leadership skills, courageous, intelligent, inspiring, ambitious, calm, imaginative thinking, dependability, and high self discipline.  So, not all men can be a leader.

Did you remember what i wrote in the recent post - 'birth order trait'? Nobody is born with such a great talent. There is no 'Superman' in this world. Maybe some of us are born smart or intelligent, but the gifted talent will not last forever if we just sit and didn't do anything. A leader is the person who train themselves as a leader, to be a leader. Great leaders worked so hard to get to the top.

Courage — not complacency — is our need today. Leadership not salesmanship. — John F. Kennedy

To be a leader, a person must have the leadership skills, courageous, intelligent, inspiring, ambitious, calm, imaginative thinking, dependability, and high self dicipline. So, lets train ourself to to act like a leader and to live like a leader. Because, a great leaders are not born, they are made.

Ok, these ducks were born as a great leader...lol

the Beuty of JApan (cherry Blossom)

A cherry blossom is the flower of the cherry trees known as Sakura. In English, "sakura" refers to the Japanese flowering cherry, Prunus serrulata.Cherry blossoms are indigenous to many East Asian states including Japan, Korea, and China. Japan has a wide variety of cherry blossoms (sakura): well over 200 cultivars can be found there. The cherry blossom (Sakura) is a well-known and ubiquitous symbol of Japan and are frequently depicted on traditional Japanese goods and art. The cherry blossom is particularly important in Japanese culture as it represents the end of the winter and the being of new life and growing season of spring.

The most popular cherry blossom in Japan is the Somei Yoshino, which has nearly pure white petals, with a hint of pink close to the stem. This variety of cherry blossom takes its name from the village of Somei (now part of Toshima in Tokyo). It was developed in the mid- to late-19th century at the end of the Edo period and the beginning of the Meiji period. The Somei Yoshino is so widely associated with cherry blossoms that jidaigeki and other works of fiction often depict the variety in the Edo period or earlier; such depictions are anachronismsEach flower has a short life which may last a week, but that short life can be cut short by strong winds or rain which can cause the petals to fall or scatter in the wind. It is this short dramatic and potentially fickle life of the cherry blossom that also influences their role in traditional Japanese culture.

The cherry blossom appear on the trees before the green of the leaves, this makes their sight even more dramatic as the trees in full bloom look almost white from top to bottom. .

Other categories of cherry blossom include yamazakura, yaezakura, and shidarezakura. The yaezakura have large flowers, thick with rich pink petals. The shidarezakura, or weeping cherry, has branches that fall like those of a weeping willow, bearing cascades of pink flowers.

Birth Order Trait

Hello everybody...
im so happy to complete our 8th post for this week.haaaahahahaaha...we finally made it!
Oops...sorry if i am over exited. Lets get back to the topic...

Psychologists claim that our birth order determines our character. Previous studies claim, among others, that:

  • the eldest child: more responsible, mature, often a perfectionist, a good leader, higher IQ, low self-esteem.
  • the middle child (any child born in between the eldest and the youngest): not an over achiever, creative, artistically inclined, often felt neglected, lack of direction.
  • the youngest child: often get away with anything, not independent, often not taken seriously.

I agree with the statement. It is a common thing. But, we're not purportedly born with traits / character that matches our birth order. There is no such thing. Instead, our characters were made on how we live our life in the childhood.
People said that the eldest child is more responsible, mature, and a good leader.it is true because most of the parents teaches their eldest child to be more responsible towards other siblings.
But some of the eldest child didn't have those attitude. Some of the youngest child more responsible and mature compared to the eldest child. All of us had a different lifehood experience.

Historical places In Malacca

to the north and the state of Malacca or Melaka in Bahasa was the smallest state after Perlis and Penang.Although it was the location of one of the earliest Malay sultanates, the monarchy was abolished when the Portuguese conquered it in 1511.It is located in the southern region of the Malay Peninsula on the Strait Of Melaka . It borders Negeri SembilanJohor  to the south. The capital is Malacca City, which is 148 km south east to Malaysia capital city Kuala lumpur  235 km south east to Johor's largest city Johor Bahru and 95 km south east to Johor's second largest city Batu Pahat. This historical city centre has been listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 7 July, 2008.

Malacca had a lot of  history places because of  the colonized was attracted to this state and the country called " Tanah Melayu"  and war happen so many building and architecture they left to us,such as A famosa ,church, and more.

                                                          A Famosa

The hallmark of Malacca and perhaps the most photographed subject next to the Stadhuys. Built by the Portuguese in 1511 as a fortress it sustained severe structural damage during the Dutch Invasion. The British East India Company had set to destroy it but timely intervention by Sir Stamford Raffles  in 1808 saved what remains of A Famosa today.

Malacca Sultanate Palace

Built based on the description and reference to the palace in 'Sejarah Melayu(the Malay Annals), the wooden replica houses the Cultural Museum of Malacca. Situated at the foot of St. Paul 's Hill, it is the only Malay palace from Malacca's glorious past of the sultanate era built with such detail and refinement.

                                                        Chris Church

Standing exactly as it has always been since 1753, the church is testimony to Dutch architectural ingenuity. Commenced in 1741 to commemorate a century of Dutch rule and took 12 years to complete. Take note of the church's 200 years old handmade pews, its 8 feet long ceiling beams constructed from a single tree without joins, Brass Bible rest which dates back to 1773, tombstone written in Armenian and 'Last Super' in glazed tiles.

                                                Maritime Museum

The Museum is constructed after the 'Flora De La Mar', the Portuguese ship that sank off the Coast of Malacca on its way to Portugal. With its hull laden with invaluable treasures seized from Malacca, the ship was doomed from existence had it not for the efforts to Malacca's heritage.

                                                Kampung Kling s Mosque

One of the oldest mosques in the country with Sumatran architectural features. Instead of a conventional dome, a three-tier roof rising like a pyramid is in place. A minaret peculiar in shape from a typical Moorish style is structured like a Pagoda portraying the mixture of East- West architectural influence. Its beautifully carved wooden ceiling is supported by elegant Corinthian - style columns while the walls of the main prayer hall are covered with Portuguese and British glazed tiles. The word "Kling" is derived from Kallinga, the name of an empire in southern India. Located along Jalan Tukang Emas just next to the Sri Poyyatha Viayagar Moorthi Temple.

"Do you think we should give monetary incentives to the KP2 students to motivate them to get better grades?"

In my opinion, we should give monetary incentives to the KP2 students. No doubt that it will motivate them to get a better grades. Why should we block their incentives? It sounds ridiculous and it seems too cruel to me. As we know, everything in this wold needs money. What if a student doesn't have money? I can't hardly imagine that.

Once a student get a bad result in the examinations, i am sure they didn't want it to happened again. They must study harder for the upcoming examination in order to get a better grades. So we must give them monetary incentives so that they will be more motivated. If a person in a great trouble, we must help them. Don't make their lives more difficult by blocking their incentives.

Not all the students are from a rich family. Some of them really need the monetary incentives. What will happen if they didn't get the incentives? How are they gonna buy food if they didn't have any money? Can you study if you are hungry? Think about it. Maybe they didn't study well or they have a problems that effected their result. So give them a chance.

Monetary incentives is a very important thing for a student. The money will be used to buy foods, photocopy notes, buy books and stationary. Of course for some student, they will go shopping with that money. But, for the KP2 students, they will certainly not doing that. They doesn't have time to go shopping. They must be more focus on their study.

Blocking a student's incentives will make it even worst. Most of the students that doesn't get the incentives made a decision to quit study. So, don't destroy their dreams. Again I mention, give them a chance to improve themselves. Blocking monetary incentives to the KP2 students is not a good idea.

The Most Favourite Food In Malaysia

Food-lovers! You will simply love Malaysia! The menu, featuring some of the best gastronomic fare of three different races in Malaysia, is sure to tantalise your taste buds. Be it Malay, Chinese or Indian food, Malaysia is truly Asia, especially when it comes to food. The main food in Malaysia based on the rice.

A popular dish based on rice is Nasi Lemak , rice steamed with coconut milk to lend it special fragrance, and served with fried anchovies, peanuts, sliced cucumber, hard boiled eggs, and a spicy chili paste known as sambal. For a more substantial meal, nasi lemak can also be served with a choice or curries, or a spicy meat stew called rendang. Of Malay origin, Nasi Lemak is often called the national dish , and a national heritage of Malaysia.

The Roti Canai and Teh Tarik combo is a meal for any hour of the day, and it's usually available at Mamak stalls and restaurants, which can be found almost everywhere in the city. Roti canai is the local Indian bread. Watch the skilled roti canai expert stretch and toss the dough into the desired shape and thickness and then cook it on a flat iron skillet with a generous amount of oil. Good roti canai is best eaten right off the skillet (when cold it can be chewy and tough). It is crispy on the outside and soft and fluffy on the inside and normally served with dhal curry (chickpea gravy). There are various versions today, among which the roti canai bawang (onion) and roti canai sardine (sardine) being the most popular ones.
When at a Mamak stall, you are bound to hear, "Teh tarik satu" (One teh tarik) most of the times. It's that popular among the locals. Teh tarik literally means 'pulled tea'. This is a frothy milk tea which has been skilfully pulled from one mug to another to increase the aroma and hasten the cooling process. Malaysians tend to have sweet tooth and our 'teh tarik' can be very sweet. So do ask for the 'kurang manis' (less sugar).

The chinese food usually casual (non-air-conditioned) hawker stalls and food streets dining and ambiance are experiences not to be missed. This can be in the form of food courts or streets lined with stalls which only operate from evening until late at night. Making a choice can be overwhelming. Just take the noodle dishes for example. There is the Wantan, Kway Teow, Hokkein mee, Cantonese mee, varieties of  and more. The atmosphere is vibrant and noisy.

If I could rule the world, i would...

If I could rule the world, i would make this world as a peaceful and safest place to live. I will stop all the war that happens and bring them to justice. Isn't it good if everyone in this world make friends with each other? No matter who we are, where we're living at, our skin colour, and our race...I will also provides the poor people works so that they can change their life. There's also no charge for medical. Everyone can see the doctor for free!

For the education part, i will synchronize it all. Every student that went to secondary school will automatically have a diploma. Universities only offer a bachelor or higher program. It can save a lot of time.

Ok now the for the fun part. If I could rule the world, I will have a new hobby. I will collect all the sports cars in the world. The car that I must have in the list is a Bugatti Veyron and Ferrari Enzo. It will be so much fun!

Yeah, i wish i can rule the world...

ZORBING!

Is there's anyone here knows about zorbing? Do you have any idea what zorbing is? I am sure some of us hasn't heard of this word before, until they see the pictures below...

Actually, zorbing is one of the extreme sports. It is the recreation of rolling downhill in an orb, generally made of transparent plastic. It is originated in  Rotorua, New Zealand, in the 1990′s by David Akers and Andrew Akers where the terrain was perfect for throwing yourself down a hill in a giant ball.

It is a safe extreme sport. The outter layer of the zorb takes the impact whilst the Zorber has protection in the inner layer. A drop of water can be added for extra entertainment. Zorbing can be played on any surface including water and stairs!

Ok here's a good news for u guys out there that want to try this extreme sport. Our country is also have this extreme sport. You can play it at three places that are:
1) Malaysia Agro Exposition Park Serdang
2) Gemas Golf Resort, Gemas - Negeri Sembilan
3) Titiwangsa Lake - Kuala Lumpur

You just have to pay around RM35-RM150 for this activity.
So, have fun!

My Educational Aspiration for 2011

Every year and every semester, we must have a new aspiration in order to improve our study...
So in this year of 2011, the most important thing that i must do is being more focus on my study.
I must take things more seriously and not delay my work. If is because the assignments and reports will gets many from time to time.

The other thing is never do a last minute study.
It is because we might get stressed and tired.
Yeah our brain might be shock if we're trying to memorize everything in one night during an examinations!

I also found that a group study really helps a lot because we need more than one idea in solving a problem.
Sharing information is a good way of studying.

The other thing is, never sleep too much.
If we overslept during a day, our body will gets tired and we will get lazy...

I like the quotes that said 'learn from our past'. Dont ever make the same mistake in 2011...

So, choose the right way to go... Be disiplined!
